The 2026 WTT season starts with the 2026 Graduation Scratch Send Off. The stroke-play tournament has a twist from the normal format of the WTT in that the winner will be determined by their scratch score. All other stroke play events in the WTT are determined by net score using handicap. With this event's unique format here are the favorites for this event and season:

1. Jason Borrow
The defending WTT summer champion is always a favorite in every event. But his game is the reason why he is a champion. Jason brings a strong combination of power, accuracy, and touch which makes him a great scorer.

2. David Hummel
David joined the WTT in 2025 and returns again for the 2026 summer. The man bleeds Miami red and uses his local knowledge and passion to score at Indian Ridge. By the end of the summer he may be as dominant as his Redhawks were on the basketball court.

3. Will Lynam
Will dominated the 2025 WTT fall but that was contested at Miami Whitewater not Indian Ridge. There may be debate which course is tougher, but there is no debate about Will's game as it travels anywhere. Can he win back2back seasons?

4. James Weidner
James has a unique swing and a volatile game. He can be the best player in the league or near the bottom any given week. When he is on it is a fun thing to watch and there is a lot of buzz swirling his game is going to be sharp more often in 2026.

5. Ted Nussman
The 2023 WTT champion is earning the title as Mr. Matchplay. Ted won his title in a match play bracket and was one of the most feared players in last year's match play format as well. His steady game makes him a regular threat week in and week out.

6. Clay Mckee
One half of the "Beer Boys" Clay brings a fun-loving attitude and desire to consume some adult beverages every week. But it does not stop there as he also has some serious game, its no accident he wins CTP and skins and finds himself in contention so often.

7. Mike Lucas
The other half of the "Beer Boys" Mike can out consume anyone in the league. But his expertise does not end there, as he is as smart as anyone in the league and uses that intelligence on the golf course. Mike will devise a way to achieve lots of success this season.

8. Justin Carr
Justin is a newcomer to the league, who has the dubious honor of being a friend and neighbor of Jason. If there is any doubt about Justin's toughness, nothing else needs to be said. We suspect that it will translate well onto the golf course.

9. James Downie
Downie has already made himself into the league as a happy-go-lucky guy. While he may like to make jokes, his golf game will be no joke, and there's no doubt he's going to put extra work into trying to contend for a WTT summer title.

10. Ben Swinerton
While lots point to Ben being a favorite: a low handicap and being the WTT defending champion. There are also some brutal realities: he's dealing with a hand injury with an unknown prognosis and timeline, and no WTT commissioner has ever won a season or the league.
